So here’s the story: five years ago, this ship called The Viscount went on a crazy mission through The Pale Passage, looking for the magnetic South Pole. Spoiler alert—it got stuck in the ice, and no one ever heard from it again. Now, its sister ship, The Temperance, is picking up where it left off, hoping to solve the mystery.

Here’s the twist: you didn’t sign up to lead this mission, but guess what? You’re in charge now. The Captain’s gone missing, the ship’s frozen in place, and you’re stranded miles from civilization. Everyone’s looking to you for answers.

In The Pale Beyond, you’ve gotta manage your resources, keep everyone safe and sane, and make some brutal decisions. The frozen wasteland you’re exploring is super pretty but crazy dangerous—things can change in a heartbeat. Every single choice you make affects the story, so no pressure, right?

Keeping your crew and sled dogs alive (and not letting them turn on you) is the only way to survive. But watch out, because if they lose faith in you, mutiny might just be your biggest problem.
